leucorrhoea, 2022

Explores the underwear and its function as a protective surface; or rather, as an extra layer of intimate protection; as a site where the body accumulates-a site where one is delicately absorbed.

leucorrhoea (shower curtain), 2022

inkjet prints, contact paper, pvc clear shower curtain

70 in x 72 in

For 30 days, I photographed the inside of my underwear at the end of each day. Numerous sets of the 30 images were printed using an inkjet printer, and were then collaged until they covered the entire surface area of the walls of my home bathroom. This resulted in a total of 38 collages of various sizes. The images were transferred onto clear contact paper, and the same five gallons of water were used throughout the entire process; thus, the collages got progressively cloudier. Layered over each other, bound within the dimensions of their bathroom's shower curtain, the accumulation of these semi-translucent collages creates a fog, obscuring the images beyond anything explicitly identifiable.

The same 5 gallons of water were used to transfer each of the 38 collages onto the contact paper. The 5 gallons of water are preserved in this jug.
